Re: Resignation

Dear patients

I am writing with both heavy heart and excitement to inform you that I have resigned my position with Associates in Women’s Healthcare effective October 30, 2024. I have been privileged to work with many of you as your physician for over 20 years. I have counseled you during dating, delivered your babies, and transitioned you to menopause. It has been an honor. Many of you have become friends as well as patients. I am sorry to the new patients who waited months to see me, only to have me resign.

I am not retiring or leaving the area. I am excited to announce that I am opening a small office in Granite Bay where I will be focusing on wellness, weight loss, hormones, gut health, genetic factors, and even muscle and bone strength. Over the years I have been more interested in a wellness model of practice rather than a sick model of medicine. This new office will showcase this. I will even see men.

The most common complaint I hear daily is about difficulty losing weight. I have worked extensively with the FDA to develop a compliant and high quality source of peptides for weight loss that are not compounded (from unknow ingredients from China), but are manufactured in the US with the highest quality materials. These peptides minimize or even prevent the muscle loss seen with commercial pharmaceutical products. I will also have complimentary technology to further augment muscle strength and formation, and thus your function and metabolism.

As a small office, I will not be able to bill insurance, but my patients will have more access to see me. Right now, the wait is almost a year, and is simply too long. I will have a fee schedule, and subscription programs available. More to come on this. If you have a PPO insurance, I will be able to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for re-imbursement. I want to stress that this is a very amicable separation. AIWHC has been my family, and the providers are my friends. I am just going in a new direction. We will share many patients. You can continue to see a provider at AIWHC through your insurance coverage, you can choose to see me at my new office, or you can do a combination of both.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you. I wish you all the best and hope to see you at my new practice! You can email Info.drsweeney@gmail.com if you would like to receive information about the new practice opening and details when available. Your medical records are confidential, and will remain at AIWHC and within EPIC. You will need to sign an authorization to release your records to the new office if desired. That form can be found at www.aiwhc.com or by contacting the office by phone at (916) 782-2229.

Warm Regards & good health,
