My goal from childhood was to be a "Mommy and baby nurse". I graduated for Sacramento State University with a Bachelors in Nursing in 1985. I worked Labor and Delivery, Nursery and Emergency Room for 5 years while completing graduate work through San Jose State for Nurse Practitioner Certification in 1987.
My professional passion lies in health education; especially excercise, nutrition, and lifestyle changes for overall well being. I teach health and nutrition classes, as well as Sex and Abstinence classes in local area schools.
I have been married since 1991 and have an 15 year old daughter and 12 year old son. The whole family is actively involved in sports; my husband and I both coach our children's teams, and I play on 2 adult recreational soccer teams. Quiet time is spent reading and relaxing with family and friends.
